MAY LINDSTROM SKIN THE JASMINE GARDEN
A deep breath and 30 minutes of meditation in a bottle. What is there to be said about May Lindstrom that hasn't already been said by everyone else? I want all of you to know that May Lindstrom Skin is not a skincare brand - it's an uplifting moment in a bottle. It's hard to fathom how a skincare product can adjust your mood, but May manages to do so.
I ordered this and a few other pieces from May as part of a birthday gift, and the presentation and care that she put into my package was breathtaking and beyond thoughtful. I spritzed it on as soon as it arrived, and I immediately felt my spirits lifted. Since then, I have had a complete infatuation with the pleasure and comfort I get from using this bottle of goodness.
This is a botanical mist with a sweet cocoa and jasmine scent - earthy and warm. It's not sticky, drying, or heavy on the skin when sprayed. I enjoy using it as more of a pick-me-up than a dedicated skincare step in my routine. Sometimes I'll spray it over all my skincare to finish off, sometimes I spray it over an acid, sometimes I spray it after I get home from work, sometimes I spray it right after cleansing. Anytime I want comfort and a delicate boost of hydration is when I reach for The Jasmine Garden.
It's luxurious, aromatic, and calming for the mind and skin. I find it a complete joy to use. I think this mist would be great for all skin types because it's not overly rich nor dry. It's not the most hydrating mist I've ever used, but I don't think it was designed to be. I view it as a complexion booster that heals and softens the skin, rather than a drench of moisture. Gorgeous in any context.
