Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator

Do you ever get to the point of forgetting to write a review because you're so in love with a product? I do.

Sometimes I reach a point with a product where I feel like I've already reviewed it in full because I mention it at any given chance. It's one of those situations where, only until after you accomplish a task, you realize you took the hard route to get there. It's a *facepalm* moment for sure.

Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator is one of those products. Since I got a travel sized bottle in September, I can't stop talking about it. I've mentioned it every single week since - on one platform or another. It's time I give it the dedicated blog post it deserves. The spotlight it has earned.

My dear friend Liz was already a mega fan before I was. She was the one who convinced me to pick up a bottle of this, and frankly I was hesitant. Obviously I trust her, but how in the world could there be such rave reviews for a "mist?"

I understand why now. Because it is that good. And to me, it's more than a mist. Or spritz. Or toner. Et al.

Claims:

This essential, multi-action product is a combination hydrator, toner and a light moisturizer all in one. Organic Vitamin-Infused Aloe Water lowers skin surface tension, enhancing the delivery of hydration and active nutrients into the skin. By naturally filling cells with aloe water our Hydrating Accelerator assists to plump, firm and increase circulation of vital nutrients. Rich antioxidants and fatty acids soften, boost skin structure, and reinforce the protective acid mantle barrier. Aloe and herbal anti inflammatories calm, relieve redness and help reset the skin’s natural healing ability while setting up the skin to fully receive effective moisturizing and available nutrients in serums, oils, balms and creams.
This has one of the most beautiful ingredient lists I've seen in a long time. Its performance and practice in skincare application proves to be even more beautiful. In my experience, this doesn't often happen. Most of the time, products perform as well as their ingredients. Sometimes less, but rarely more.

What Hydrating Accelerator exceeds in is bringing a list of gorgeous ingredients from black and white to Technicolor. It helps to paste on the humectant rich, herbaceous, comforting, and balancing ingredients onto the skin. You feel hydrated. You feel soothed. You feel relaxed.

And if I'm honest, the scent is really what seals the deal on my view of Hydrating Accelerator as one of the best mists to touch my face. Ever.

I place it alongside May Lindstrom Skin The Jasmine Garden and Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Essence in terms of my constant desire to use and experience. I envision myself repurchasing Hydrating Accelerator for years to come.

Imagine raw and unrefined chocolate: remove the bitterness, increase the cozy vanilla undertones, and blend thoroughly with earthy and floral particles. That's what this smells like. Gourmand, sensual, familiar, and luxurious. You'd hardly believe it costs a mere $32 and especially with such an impactful ingredient list.

I literally can't stop using this. To the point that, as I felt my travel sized bottle nearing its end around three months after purchasing it, I saw the full size in a shop window one night and bought it on the spot. PS: it was Grassroots Juicery in case you're in East Williamsburg 😉

I kept my small bottle and refilled it with some of the juice in the big bottle so I could keep this with me in my bag and spritz any time I want. And I do, trust and believe.

It's beautiful as a pre oil-serum spritz. It's phenomenal after an acid exfoliant. It's stunning after a serum before a moisturizer. It's gorgeous misted over the face mid-day. There's absolutely no time during the day or my skincare ritual where I can't imagine not enjoying this.

As I mentioned, I think this is much more than a spritz. It has the ability to truly hydrate and treat the skin. It does something.

Not only that, the spritz is absolutely perfect. It's wholesome, but very fine. It doesn't spurt or sputter and delivers the perfect amount of product to feel like you really misted your face.

Just as Liz recommends, start with the travel size. It's quite a good value for such a good product, and shipping is free in the USA. You'll be hooked, I can almost guarantee that.

I look forward to using countless more bottle of Hydrating Accelerator in my life!
